What is ICS?

ICS method is a diagnostic and therapeutic method that draws from the worlds of craniosacral and osteopathy. The method was developed by osteopath Oren Dotan, D.O. and taught in the last 15 years in the United States, Europe and Israel.
The goal of ICS treatment is to create the optimal mechanical and physiological conditions to allow the body to restore its well-being in cases of any health issue - pain, restriction of movement, chronic dysfunctions, and more.
In ICS treatment, the practitioner diagnoses various body systems, in order to identify the root of the patient's problem. The treatment focuses on the root of the problem, and is done with gentle and precise touch.

What is the Uniqueness of the ICS Method

  • The root cause of the problem is diagnosed - through anatomical and myofascial chains that most therapists are not familiar with

  • All body systems are treated: musculoskeletal, digestive, respiratory, hormonal, nervous, and more...

  • Treatment is provided with gentle and precise touch, affecting five layers: muscles, bones, fascia\dura-mater, CSF, and brain.

Why is the Craniosacral System a Key Component of the ICS Method?

In the ICS Method, a great number of the body’s systems can be diagnosed and treated: the musco-skeletal system, the hormonal system, the nervous system, the digestive system, the lymphatic system, the immune system, etc.

The craniosacral system is connected to all those systems via muscles, bones, nerves, fascia, and more.

Therefore, the craniosacral system affects all the systems of the body, and is also affected by all the systems of the body. Dysfunctions in the craniosacral system are often a result of other bodily dysfunctions, and a cause of bodily dysfunctions. Diagnosing and treating the organs of the body without considering the craniosacral system can result in short-term outcomes.
